Let's talk about plant care instructions! These tidbits of info are great, but they are also more like guidelines than actual rules (Captain Barbossa, is that you?) They are guidelines that were written regarding a specific environment that you may not be able to perfectly replicate. With that said, that doesn't mean you can't adjust the plants surroundings to give it what it needs! Most things are an easy fix.
Although they are beautiful, plants are not merely decor. They are living beings that have needs just like you or me. The most important part of learning to care for any type of plant is a commitment to regular observation of the entire plant. Noticing what it feels like and looks like, and adjusting things as you learn. This observation time is a perfect way to slow your mind down and be present. It also allows you to become a better plant parent.
Neither of us (Em and Tay) started off taking care of plants and immediately became experts (RIP to all the plants we killed along the way ) We learned from the support of a community of other plant lovers. If you need help taking care of a new plant or an old pal that's struggling, please don't hesitate to reach out to us on Instagram or Facebook.
